Age Divisions
Club - Age Divisions (12, 14, 16 & 18)
Age determination date is September 1, 1995. Proof of age is required. Proof of age will be determined by the USA Volleyball Age Definition chart. In case of eligibility disputes, lack of proper documentation will result in disqualification of individual participants and/or team.
High School Division
This division is for teams affiliated with AHSAA and IASA and wishing to only play a ONE DAY tournament. These participants will not be subject to the age determination date listed, but are eligible based on their high school classification (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.) as of fall 2012.
Varsity, Junior Varsity, & Jr. High teams are eligible.
Teams will be scheduled to play either Saturday, June 22 or Sunday, June 23.
Varsity, Junior Varsity, & Jr. High teams from the same school will play on same day.
Event Rules and Format
National Federation of State High School Association rules for High School Division. USA Volleyball rules will apply for the Club division. Each team will be responsible for practice balls and a game ball. Tournament format (bracket or pool play) will be determined by the number of teams entered. Rosters must consist of at least six players with a maximum of 15. Each team is required to provide an R2, scorekeeper and two lines people. Teams need a libero tracker, the libero can be used to serve.
Uniforms must be the same color and the libero must wear a jersey of contrasting color.
There will be 2 games of pool play then tournament play. Pool play will be best 2 out of 3 to 21 points with a start score of 4-4. Set (3) will be to 15 points switching at 8 and starting 0-0.
Three team pools will play (3) full sets of 21 points, starting 4-4. Tie breaker games will be (1) set to 25 starting at 0. Best 2 out of 3 (If Needed) to (15) for the Championship and the Consolation Game.
