Where will the Opening Ceremonies be held?

The Opening Ceremonies will be held at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex Arena or BJCC Arena for short. The BJCC is located in downtown Birmingham at 2100 Richard Arrington Jr. Boulevard North. You can find out more information about the BJCC at their website, www.bjcc.org.

Is there an admission fee to get in the Opening Ceremonies?

No, the Opening Ceremonies are free and open to the general public.

Is there reserved seating?

Yes, this year we will have reserved seat tickets for general admission. These tickets are available FREE OF CHARGE at all locations of AT&T retail stores in Jefferson and Shelby Counties. There will be certain areas designated for particular groups. We will have a VIP reserved section and there will be reserved sections for our Honoring Our Heroes attendees and their families. Also, certian sections will be reserved for our athletes, parents and coaches.

Where do I pick up my Opening Ceremonies T-Shirt?

All registered athletes and coaches that attend the Opening Ceremonies will receive a free Opening Ceremonies T-Shirt. You can only receive your Opening Ceremonies T-Shirt with a valid Opening Ceremonies T-Shirt Ticket that you received in your registration confirmation packet. Opening Ceremonies T-shirts will be distributed on the Concourse level of the BJCC Arena. Where do I lineup to participate in the parade?

After picking up your Opening Ceremonies T-shirt on the Concourse Level of the arena, go back out the entrance to the arena on 9th Avenue. Lineup will take place outside (weather permitting) in the area at the bottom of the steps. The parade will be formed by Regions. All athletes are encouraged to participate in the Parade of Athletes.
